I am extremely happy with my recent purchase of my Gweike Cloud laser. I have used a K40 for a few years now and it is refreshing to have a product that doesn't need additional enhancements to be productive.
The shipment arrived in 7 days as advertised, the marketing representative was very responsive to my questions and kept in touch obviously respecting the fact that this is not a small investment for the average person. The laser was packed in a manner that protected it as well as enabled it to be unpacked easily. This is a demonstration of product quality and concern for customer satisfaction that I appreciate. The laser is constructed of metal and appears well assembled. I did need to contact support with issues, which they responded to withing 24 hours. All issues ended up being caused by my errors.
I am very impressed with the fact that many accessories were included with the laser that I expected to have to purchase on my own. These included air vent hoses and an in-line extraction fan as well as enough materials to get comfortable with its operation.
As a software engineer, my expectations are very high regarding the software interfaces so I do have some critique. I use Lightburn software but I have tried both the offline "Glightburn" product and the online Cloud software. The offline software works but the interface isn't intuitive to me or close enough to Lightburn for me to use it much. I suppose it would be fine for someone without a Lightburn license. When I am able to connect online, I have not been able to use the Cloud software successfully. The interface I get does not match the version in the printed examples at all so even the simplest task of aligning a drawing with the work area isn't working for me. Since internet is not required for what I need to do, I am not overly concerned.
I have found problem in the way Lightburn runs a particular task on the machine that I need but I do not know if it's a Ligntburn issue or a Ruida controller issue. The online community does not seem to know either so I am satisfied with my own workaround in this case for now.
Overall, I believe this laser is the best value for a hobby C02 laser that has teh robustness to be a business asset as well. Gweike produces expensive professional lasers and the Cloud demonstrates their ability apply their experience to a downsized, affordable product.
