Well Built

This machine is extremely well built. The drive motors, the drag chains, the electrical connections, and the z axis mount are all evident of a company that has built commercial grade equipment. They need to spend time on the OOBE for the American market. However, my three dumb questions to tech support were enough to get me up and operating. WiFi function has never worked. I use LightBurn. I will say that the Cloud RF in terms of accuracy, detail of cut and engrave give the Epilog a run for its money. The RF does not have a 7 inch Z axis but it does have an open base if you want to work on larger projects. The exhaust fan on the RF needs to be supported by the additional exhaust fan that came in the bundle and I also use the environmental filter device. All work well together. But the RF cuts 3mm, 4mm ply like butter with a hot knife and fast. It creates a considerable amount of smoke especially when cutting a full size sheet of material. The biggest detail in my decision to purchase the RF was the width of the laser kerf. Once you know how to focus the laser, the cut width is far far far superior to a CO2. I encourage Gwieke to keep perfecting the RF machine as this market niche has few competitors.

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to many years of enjoyment.

It has its pros & cons but I don’t regret buying it

The machine is nice don’t get me wrong but there are pros and cons with it.
Cons: 1)first day I got it and set it up I was on chat with support team rebuilding the motherboard since my camera didn’t work. (We got it fixed after 9hrs)
2) I wish once you calibrated your camera it stayed calibrated, I always have to redo mine every morning
3) go ahead and order a spare lens cause after a couple projects your lens is going to be burnt and you need a new one and shipping takes FOREVER!!!!!
4) their software is China based so it barely works in US so lightburn is going to be your best friend!
Pros: support team is very helpful and patient with you
2) once you get the hang of it you are not going to turn back and regret not ordering sooner
3) you can make ALOTTTTT of different things with it! I’ve had it for 2 months and still learning new things to make and it’s amazing.

Overall I don’t regret buying it
2) it takes a little getting use to but once you get the hang of it

Great service

We are really happy with the gweike cloud so far. It's faster and after a bit of a learning curve, fairly easy to use with lightburn. The tech support is also amazing. 24/7 i could go to a private WhatsApp group with the employees of gweike to help me with any tech questions i had. Its amazing how fast they reply, wich is neccessary when you depend on the machine for your small business.

I would recommend the gweike to everyone!

Mix and Match

The email I got said I should review my new Pro II. But that's not what I got. They sent me a Pro 1, even though I specifically asked if I would get a Pro II, so they still don't seem to know what they sent me! They also said they would refund me $300 for the mistake, but I'm still waiting for that 2 months later. As far as the machine though, I generally like it. The external air assist does give me more options, and I've bought a cal air compressor to make up for the Gwike noisy one. Also, the internal USB cable that goes from the controller to the jack on the back is very flaky, and I had to disconnect it and run a new cable right from the controller out the back. I've been learning Lightburn which takes some time, but so far, the machine seems to cut and engrave very well, much better than the GF I had. it's faster too. It seems very hackable too, with access to be able to make improvements as people come up with them. So in total, I like the machine, but not that impressed with the company so far.

Still trying to figure out the machine. But so happy with customer service.

Almost perfect

I really like my new machine and the reason its only got four rather than five stars is because there were a few minor problems at the start. Loose connections etc ruined the initial experience but after working with tech support, all is well and I continue to both learn and enjoy the world of my GWPro. Future machines would benefit from a quieter air pump, its WAY too loud and Ive substituted a fish tank air pump in its place. From 70db down to 35, bliss.

Mostly excellent, but.

This machine is quite good. It is compact yet powerful, precise and relatively fast. Do not expect a real "plug and play" machine ; there WILL be some tunings and tweakings to do, even though one could just run it straight as is, out of the box.

CONS :
- The motherboard doesn't allow very low output powers (below 17% power, the laser won't even fire). Which means you will get overburns in corners, no way around that. Moreover, when the laser fires, it bursts a little bit, meaning the power is more than expected. There too, it tends to overburn in corners.
You WILL have to measure your own focus length. They say just do 17 - (material's thickness), but in my case i've run some extremely precise tests and my value is 14,87 - (material's thickness).
- Provided rotative attachments are TOTAL GARBAGE (and yes, i do weight my words here). For one, you can't even set the distance between the two rollers. This distance is FIXED. Which is a bit stupid, really. You get two attachments, one for objects 30 to 60mm in diameter, and another for objects 60 to 75mm in diameter. But suppose you have to do a glass, and that this glass is conical. Large end is 70mm but smaller end is 30mm or so. Well, you simply won't be able to do it, for the small end will just fall between the rollers !!!
- Online Client Service. They do reply, they are here to help you, but you have to always be behind them. For exemple, I asked them to help me with this overburns in corners issue, telling them that i've measured the min power (17%) and i require their help in this matter. They said they'll ask the motherboard manufacturers. I'm still awaiting their reply. Since 12 days now. So be prepared to have to do your own work and researches if you've got issues.
- Speed. Machine is advertised as capable to upto 600mm/s. If you try it, the acceleration is so fast that the belts slips on the gearwheels. The noise is quite alarming. So in truth, you can't get above 400m/s (which is quite decent anyhow).
- Very noisy machine. I took the rear fan out and I use another air pump for the air assist, and it's a bit better now, even though I still call this noisy.
- Kerf is 0.1mm, which is quite large actually. My $250 NEJE diode module does a 0.042mm kerf, which is more than twice better.

PROS
- Works perfectly fine with Lightburn !
- Price is really fair, for such a machine
- Easy to setup, easy to work
- Some interesting features (built-in overview camera)
- Decent working area (510x300mm)
- Very solid build
- Very precise

Couple of my first projects. Thanks to those that help. I hope to pay it forward when I learn.

The project

Genuine leather and Rubber stamp with my Gweike Pro.

Good Laser for the price.

Wish the literature on the web would have been more clear that you cannot add the rotary unit to the basic model. Also the air pump/filter are obnoxiously loud and vibrate everything. The smoke evacuation could be better, even with the extra wall mounted extractor fumes still escape from the glass lid due to gaps all around it. Aligning the camera in Lightburn is a royal pain. But over all it does what a 50watt C02 laser should and the build quality is pretty darn good. Could use some serious fixes but what I have been reading they have an integrated air assist on the newer pro models, that should cut down on the noise and vibration from the old one.

RF Metal Laser

Everything was as described on Sexy Cyborg youtube.
The benefit of the RF tube is no water to deal with and worry about freezing (I am in Maryland) but, cutting is more limited. Weight the pro's & cons of each for your use.
The only thing that would be nice a galv bed so you can use magnets to hold down material. The bed that shipped with the unit is Alum.
Have not used the Gweike Cloud since the location of the machine does not have internet.
Works great with Light Burn.

I have yet to receive a working laser...UPDATED!

I will give the update here, and leave the original review in tact.
At some point I may add some pictures for you, but for now..

I finally got a working laser!

I was able to setup and test everything fairly thoroughly at this point, including calibrating the camera in LightBurn. I do not have internet where the machine is so I cannot comment on the cloud version of this, although (from YouTube) It seems capable, I believe LightBurn is where it's at anyways.

I will be testing with various other materials of course, but all included materials etch and cut as expected. I have been able to create puzzles, keychains, ornaments and living hinged phone holders. All is operating as expected.

I need to mention the after market sales team again, as they were very helpful through the process (as frustrated as I was) we were all very pleasant to deal with. Eventually staying with it until I received a working laser. Hopefully for years to come with proper maintenance.

I am finally happy I went with Gweike in the end. I still believe this is a superior laser over the other brands. Even with a few others emerging with this design, how many other models do they create and support? 1? 3? 50? I'm going with the experience when someone has a huge line of CO2 and Fiber lasers to back the quality. I'm glad I did. Even though, I happened to get a couple of lemons, Gweike made it right.

*This is the old review below*

I cannot give an favorable review at this time. I am now waiting on delivery of the third replacement. The first one literally blew up within 5 hours of usage. I worked late nights with the chinese engineers to confirm it was the fuse inside the laser PSU that violently exploded. There was also a problem with the camera using the external USB cable. They sent replacements and I changed them and put it all back together again, but the gears were skipping etc.. just problems. Sent back.

The second replacement arrived in a not working condition. Again hours of troubleshooting with engineers - eventually returned.

The third one was supposed to arrive yesterday, but now there are delays.

So I still do not have a working laser 1 month after purchase.

To say I am frustrated is an understatement. The business I launched when I got the first one has all but evaporated, and even if I did get it today, there is not time for orders for christmas. This has been a huge expensive nightmare actually. And I am now easily certifiable as a laser technician.

If I eventually do receive a working laser and spend some time with it without exploding, then I may change this review, but at this time 0 stars +1 for after sales team in china.

The images I do have are generally of the machine taken apart during T/S. I have a few trinkets printed, but no good pictures of things you'd actually want to see.
Hopefully I get a working laser soon/today/this week.

First try cutting mirrored acrylic. Very pleased. Came out clean.
This was cut at 5mm/sec, 65% power, mirrored facedown. Just guessed at the settings. I am using the California Air Tools compressor set to 28 psi.
